What Electrification Means for Heavy-Equipment Parts Sourcing

Electrification is reshaping the heavy-equipment parts landscape β€” not by eliminating custom metal parts, but by shifting which ones matter. For procurement teams, here's what changes, what stays the same, and how to source through the transition.

What declines

Engine-driven parts see reduced demand on fully electric machines β€” exhaust systems most obviously, along with some intake and fuel-system components. This is real, but it's gradual, not sudden.

What grows

  • Thermal-management piping β€” coolant lines for the battery, motor, and power electronics

What stays the same
